Welcome
You came to me
Head upright
Back straight
Yet the shadow silhouetting
the door
Is not the genuine article
It's a beautiful doll
with broken springs
And a porcelain face
cracked in half
But held together by slivers of clay
I see unspilled tears
threatening to make little rivulets down
blushing cheeks
And the slender fingers
that tremble so slightly
And the walk that falters
It's so painful to watch
A walking time bomb
Push the red button
It's time for your self-destruction

The butterfly, beating its wings, trying to stay airborn amidst the onslaught of a relentless downpour, heavy droplets of water weighing it down, tears of an agonised sky.
Beating, beating, fighting against the elements of nature.
Moving, moving, fighting to find a safe spot away from the tearful attacks, an isolated corner away from the world.
Then, a shuddering breath, it's body limp, exhausted wings folded against it's back. Unmoving, lifeless.
The eternal fall from midair onto the cold wet floor. Then its existance diminishes, unimportant save for the microscopic beings that would feed on it's castoff shell soon after.
And the clouds mourn its sorrowful death.
