Welcome
You came to me
Head upright
Back straight
Yet the shadow silhouetting
the door
Is not the genuine article
It's a beautiful doll
with broken springs
And a porcelain face
cracked in half
But held together by slivers of clay
I see unspilled tears
threatening to make little rivulets down
blushing cheeks
And the slender fingers
that tremble so slightly
And the walk that falters
It's so painful to watch
A walking time bomb
Push the red button
It's time for your self-destruction

Quote of the day:
Unremembered, yesterday is extinct
Without yesterday, today has no meaning
Who are you if forgotten?
Who are you but the sum of your memories?
By Anonymous
I love random quotes. Especially those whose meaning run deep. I disagree though. I'm not just the sum of my memories. My memories are not the only part of me. They are but a fraction of who i am.
Our past shapes us to become who we are today. But they do not define the person we are. We are more than memories, I am more than just my memories. I'm me. Begum Farah, a person of the past, present and hopefully, future.
I still like it though, the quote. I like it very much.
