We all have some philosophy regarding the way we live our lives or the way we see life and how it unfolds. I suppose i'm no different, seeing that i too have come up with a personal set of beliefs.
Namely, that i don't believe in absolutions.
I used to, when i was younger. But then, didn't we all see the world as simply black and white in our first few years of life?
I think, that the beliefs we stand by, the way of life we choose and our own perception of something is not concrete. It has never been. And the word 'never', never existed at all.
' You just used it, ' You point out. But didn't i say i don't belief in absolutions?
It's a very perplexing, complicated and contradictory philosophy really, or so it seems in the beginning. But i assure, it's all very simple actually.
All that happens, whatever decision we make are not based on how we're brought up, the way we're meant to think or anything of that sort. It's based on the situation at hand, not what's been routinely drilled into our heads all our lives.
The only exception to my theory, is God. He's absolute, in every way there is. But even His laws and His religion allows exception in certain cases. Thus, absolution does not exist. His existance, being an absolute being, further contradicts the validity of 'absolution'.
Because He is forever, undying, He's absolute. It contradicts my theory, thus, the absolution of my belief, that ' absolution doesn't exist ', has it's flaws. In other words, it's not absolute.
Is your head spinning right now? Well then, perhaps i'm not explaining it properly. But, that's the best i can do. Maybe a conversation on the said topic would enlighten you better.
But that pretty much sums up my take on this world. I don't believe in the contrasting black and white that some people choose to paint our world with. I'd rather take up gray. It's more flexible.
And we all know humans change, constantly. If we force ourselves to keep to one side of the coin, we'll only be feeding ourselves with half-truths and lies.
On the sidenote, this post was indirectly a product of letting the obsessive mind dwell over Deathnote for too long. The movie was so great, apart from the somewhat inconsistent beginning.
I was left in awe of Kira's, otherwise known as Light's, brilliance. He is such an evil genius. It just goes to show how twisted the humn mind really is.
Another thing i don't believe in, is the goodness of humanity. Oh, i know we can all pull off a couple of good deeds, inculcate good morale in ourselves, our way of life. But that's just it, we have to make an effort to steer oursleves in one way. The Right way.
Otherwise, we'd simply allow ourselves to act on our basic, or more barbaric needs and wants. Goodness exists, of course. It's just not natural. So, good thing for artificial products then, eh?
Again, Deathnote is influencing my train of thoughts. Haha, i so wanna watch it again. Helps that the actors aren't so bad looking.
And will you believe it? The guy that acts as Inui from the first cast of Dream Live Prince of Tennis Tenimyu acted in the movie! When i first saw him, i was unsure. But my eyes deceived me not, and i immediately pointed it out to Maryam. The result was the two of us huddled together over the armrests in between our respective seats, silently screaming like the fangirls we are^_^
Hee
Inui! Kira! L ! Ahh, Deathnote was soo cool! In my head, i was going, 'Sugoi!' ' Suteki! ' ' Kakkoi ! '
Saa, it's getting late, I only wanted to post about watching the movie at first. Look what happened. Alright then, goodnight!
