Cis, minna-san.
I've not been blogging much for the last few days now have I? Heh, gomene. True, I've had lots of time on my hands, but i guess i just didn't feel like it.
Demo, I'm here now aren't i?^_^
Yoshi! A recap of what i've been up to over the past week.
Tuesday night, myself, my sis Mumtaz, my cousins Dee, Shahid, Afzhal, Alisha, the junior bratties Wafa and Zakirah and Aunty Suhana piled into my parent's car to go bowling with Mama, Uncle Feroz and Ferhad at the Civil Service Club at Bukit Panjang. Along the way, Afzhal phoned mama, and concocted some story about how we were running late and lost, and began feeding her all sorts of lies about where we were. Hehe, it was hilarious really, especially since most of the places he told her were completely from memory, and he had to rake his brains for them asap so as to not give ourselves away. In fact, when we were in the carpark of the building, we actually saw them; mama, ferhad and uncle feroz, but they had their backs to us, so we managed to drive past without being noticed.
The game was up when we surprised them in the bowling alley, then they knew we were lying all along, but it was funny, and they laughed.
Then, the bowling began. Hehe, i'm no pro when it comes to bowling, throughout the entire two games, i only managed to get a spare once, and to my surprise, a strike! My first ever strike! But yea, otherwise, it was OKAY. I think the balls i threw all had some sort of unhealthy attraction to the gutter, coz they kept taking that route every few other throws. Haha, but it was funny and fun, so it's all okay. Thank goodness there was no Aozu. heheheheh -_-"
Afzhal and Ferhad kept disturbing Dee while she was bowling, they'd creep up behind her, and scare her, or crouch down low behind her, and cause her to trip. Unfortunately for them, after a few tries, she was constantly on her guard, and didn't fall for any of their tricks afterwards.
Also, there's a snack bar at the far end of the alley, and we kept taking turns to go there to pile up on junkfood and drinks. They even had vending machines which sold cans of hot drinks, sugoi!
Apart from that, behind the lanes we booked, there were massage chairs. You have to insert a $1 coin for 5 minutes worth of massage, but it was too cool to miss out on, so i gave it a few tries. The one on the left was much better than the one on the right, i even got mama to pay for one of my sessions ^_^ Alisha took my place on the chair whenever it was my turn to bowl, so it didn't go wasted.
As usual, a gathering like this equates to mischief. And that we had, in enormous quantity. Nevermind the crouching and tripping, and making fun of Dee whenever she bowled ( she has a habbit of lifting her leg whenever she releases her ball, and that causes her skirt to lift up, so you can see her school shorts a bit! ) Dee was in her school u btw. The woman at the counter said dee wasn't allowed to play coz of that, so we sneakily handed her on side of dee's shoe so we could let her play anyway, hehe. Thank goodness we had the lane right at the end, away from the counter!
Later on, Uncle Feroz took the remaining pair of Afzhal's shoes ( coz we've to give one the the lady at the counter when we get our bowling shoes ) and stuffed it in between the branches of this fake christmas tree behind us. Hehe, it was hilarious. We didn't tell him, of course. The plan was to let it go unnoticed till it was time to leave, by then, when Afzhal realises his missing shoe, he's get worried and flustered, since all of us would be waiting for him. haha! It backfired though, Afzhal suspected something sneaky was going on, and managed to retrieve his shoe, soiling our plan! haha, it was a nice try though. We did that to Dee later on, and SHE got flustered, especially she scouldn't go up to the counter to ask for help on the account of her not being able to play in the first place!
We gave it to her in the end, and she started gracing our ears with wonderful colourful language, mostly aimed at Ferhad and her brother. It was a fun night.
That night, i slept over mama's house. We watched scary movie 1, or rather, it started out with myself, mumtaz, afzhal and ferhad eating maggie and watching it together, then everyone left to play the computer and xbox, and it was just me. It's such a ridiculous story really, funny yea, but stupid. Still, now i know why Afzhal and fart have been screaming " WAZZZUUPPPPPPp!!!!!" like a bunch of crazy banshees nowadays. hehe. I can't do it though, i tried, but my throat got sore, hehe.
Next day we went back to the club. Alisha, Mumtaz and i watched this chick flick, Aquamarine, about this mermaid who wants to proove to her father that love exists, and with the help of two human girl bestfriends, she attempts to make this supposedly hot life-guard fall in love with her in three days. It doesn't work, obviously, but she manages to proove love existed afterall. And yea, the guy isn't HOT, but he's good looking, i guess. THEN we went to the club.
Anyway, at the club, everyone went for a swim, while mama and i went round the whole club, looking and exploring basically. Afzhal was with us for a while, but then he went to join mumtaz, alisha, ferhad and shahid. Mama pretended all of us were her children, except for Afzhal and me, coz she apparantly has brought shahid and alisha there before under the guise of her children, have to keep up appearances no?
It's a nice club. There's a bowling alley, the swimming area with a wave pool, a deeper adult pool, a relatively big jacuzzi, a sort of circle stream, like a mini-'whale pool' at Sunway Lagoon, and a humongous slide you have to take on a bouy, or however you spell that.
Then you have the second floor, which is entirely for functions, dinners and the sort you know. There's an arcade room, a sort mini casino thing, a barbacue area, a spa, a room for playing pool, a bar, i think, a few small restaurants and the best feature: a tennis court!
Two nice, big, spacious tennis courts, on the roof! The gate was opened, so mama and i went it, and wooooowwww. We didn't get to go in at Amal's houses's tennis court, so i didn't really get to see what it was like. This time i did, and yea . . . wow . . .
Mama and i decided we'd take up tennis. I've been hinting not very subtly that i want a racket for my upcoming birthday, so yea. Hopefully, hopefully!
Thursday night i was forced into sleeping over my grandmother's house. Haiz. I really didn't want to, but i'd no choice.
Fri afternoon, we went to the beach. Again, i was reluctant, but once more, i was dragged along to the beach. Unfortunately for me, i wasn't in my tudung, hence my reluctance, but everybody else seemed to not care and told not to worry. I really didn't like it though. So when we arrived at east coast beach, i refused to leave the car.
Everyone left, including my mother who was the designated driver for the day, and i was alone. So yea, i guess i was really frustrated and upset that it came to that, before i knew it, i started crying. Who wouldn't be upset? The plan was to let me and my youngest brother go home, since he had a fever, and i didn't want to go, so i could take care of him, then they'd make their way to the seaside, then my mother changes her mind and decided that my brother wasn't too sick for the beach, and that we should all go to please my grandmother.
Like, what the heck????
In the end, she came back, and drove me home, where we changed, prayed, and she ate, while i packed up stuff to bring to the beach, and then we left once more. This time, since i was properly attired, i decided i could try to have some fun.
My cousins were surprised i came back, but they were glad, i guess. heh.
We went cycling, dee and i shared a bike, Afzhal was on his own, Shahid rode with my two bros, my bibik came along with wafa in tow, and Mumtaz and Alisha went solo.
In the beginning, we kept trying to outdo each other, racing and pedaling till our legs ached. My jeans kept getting caught in chain or pedal or something, and ended up getting the bottom part slightly ripped, haha.
On the trip back, there was something wrong with mine and dee's bike, the chain was not put properly, so the boys had a look at it. ( Afzhal and Shahid ) Apart from that, dee and i slowed down considerably, and took our time going back, so we could simply feel the wind against our faces, and enjoy the scenery.
Then everyone went swimming. Even though i'd brought clothes for Dee, she didn't end up swimming. She stayed with my youngest bro and me, while we played in the sand. The girl was simply lost in her own thoughts that time.
Muhammad and i went from making sandcastles, to digging holes, to making sandcastles again. It was fun. At one point, Luqman and Muhammad dug a hole and tried to bury my legs, they did, but the weight of the sand wasn't enough to prevent my feet from 'breaking out' easily.
Later, Dee and i ate popsicles, while we watched my bro and surveyed the landscape before us. Mostly, we talked and looked at the clouds. A sky after the rain, can be likened to the kind of scenery you'd see in watercolour paintings. Simply beautiful. Very serene.
Towards dusk, i joined dee and shahid playing soccer. In the beginning, it was dee vs. shahid and Alisha, then Alisha left, and it was myself and Dee, vs Shahid alone. We played for a while, and dee and i were trashing Shahid, at 4-0. We then invited two small boys who were playing nearby and watching our game to join us. One went to each team. Still, Dee and i trashed the other team, at 5-1. hehe, it was fun.
Dee hasn't touched a soccerball since before prelims, and i haven't played the said game for years now. but it turned out okay.
When the game ended, dee and i went in search for a bathroom. We found one, but it was too smelly for dee to do her business, so we washed our faces and left. Macs has a much better and cleaner bathroom. They even have a lillte area with two taps for people to wash their feet and shoes. After freshening up, i bought fries, and dee asked for water. She didn't touch the fries though. We were both tired out from our day, and the game we just had.
Back at the 'campsite', my grandmom produced some rice from who-knows-where. We took some, and went to the beach to have our meal in the quiet. But then, everyone else trailed behind. It was sooooooooo annoying you know. It was supposed to be just me and dee, and the next thing you know, Shahid, Alisha, Mumtaz, and my brothers, Luqman and hamzah pops up from nowhere! Arg!
And it wasn't as though they were quiet! They started making such a racket, they could have woken the dead from their sleep! Annoying kozos. So dee and i told them to bug off. In the end, only Alisha and Shahid wouldn't budge. But they weren't half as noisy, so fine.
I've never tried lying down on the ground to look at the sky, so i tried that. I lay down on the fine white and brown sand, its colours robbed by the absence of light, and admired the purple sky above. It was much more breathtaking than the sky after the rain, where the clouds were still and unmoving, painted in muted colours of blue and white, and even more moving than the flaming orange and yellow of a setting sun.
Damn it was beautiful. You know, it was almost as though it was right in front of me, and if i'd only reached out to touch it, i'd get sucked into it's never-ending vortex of nighttime.
I'm afraid of places with lots of space and depth. That's why, in truth, i'm afraid of the sea, and even more so of outer space. I can't even watch a documentary on those things without having to brace myself and mentally prepare myself. So i guess i was mildly surprised i didn't feel any fear, even when i waslying down on the sand and looking at the vastness if the night sky.
Lucky, eh?
I'd really like to go to the beach sometime soon. This time, with friends. ^_^ that's be great.
