" In anycase, even if i don't quite like coming back home late, i'm a big enough girl to take care of myself don't you think? And it's not like i do it often, it hardly happens. Plus, it's from a perfectly decent concert, not from a wild night out at a club dancing and drinking. "
That was what i said some time ago, about my going to Maryam's bros band concert at VS. He plays the french horn.
In the end, minus the drinking, Jam and Hop basically WAS very much like dancing in a club. And i don't know about the wild part, but i did feel guilty you know, dancing with the friends i've made over the past three days just now.
Still, i had fun. Loads and loads of fun. It's a pity it's all over, you know?
We did the chicky dance again this morning, yay us. That was fun, naturally. All the flapping and the shaking and the ' yo yo yo yo ' Also, we were given an explanation what exactly will happen when we receive our results, so it illuminated me lot, since otherwise, i'd probably remain clueless. I'm one blurr sotong leh.
Haha, can you just imagine what my mom had to say to me when she heard me say something like that last night? That's the way most of them speak over there, and it sort of rubs off you know, i don't know why! But it does! And suddenly you find yourself saying and adding all sorts of new words to complete or maybe begin your sentences. Brilliant, huh?
The games we played later on were great. It was such a hot and bright morning, we began sweating in no time, but it was all fun. First was the ball game, where we'd to throw this enormous ball in the air, and work as a team to not let it touch the groud. Now that was hard, try as we might, it was too difficult to keep the ball suspended in the air for too long a period. In the end, the furthest we managed was 10 times. Hey, that was good okay!
Next we played something called 'mohawk'. Balance was the key to win the game, or actually, to even play it! We'd to walk across these ropes, and work as a team again, to reach the other end of the poles. If a person falls of, he/she has to go back to the start of the line. No one made it through to the opposite end, but we did learn to strategize and trust, depend on, and support each other. Also, there was a lot of screaming and shouting going on, hehe. That was fun. I kept falling off! It was so annoying. But thank goodness i never caused anyone else to fall off, so that's okay. Once though, i fell, and i sort of scraped my knee a little. My jeans ended up getting a small tear on the left knee, and when i checked it at home, my knee really was hurt. It's not much though, so i'm glad i didn't make a fuss. Another girl got worse than me, she'd to be attended to, so i hope she's alright.
Last game went by the name ' TP express' Yet another teamwork game. That was extremely, extremely noisy. ^_^
There wasn't any performance during lunch today. We took a group photo of sorts, hehe. Some of us ( including myself ) were still holding on to our containers of food, and had time to take bites in between each shot! hehe
Then we went to the engineering school. I felt kind of guilty, again. There was this indian lecturer talking to us about . . . something which i can't really recall actually. Probably due to the fact that . . i was sooo bored and sleepy. I kept forcing my eyes to stay open, but i fell asleep at one point. Maryam rapped me on my left knee to wake me, then i realized what i did. Goodness, if and when i join TP, i pray to God i won't get such a boring and monotonous lecturer. I feel so evil, dissing a lecturer i just met. . . but he made me sleep! That counts as something you know.
The fun part were the games we had later on. A crossword puzzle with wiring and switches involved, the labelling sort of thing, and the signature design. Maryam and i teamed up. We were the first to finish the crossword, or so said the indian woman who came to mark our answers, but there were mistakes, so we couldn't get prizes. We won prizes for the next one though, for the labelling game. Though, we had help from an engineering student, hehehe.
The lab was really rowdy. With the PLs and the student helpers making so much noise, i think we did too, but mostly them :P And Amal and i asked for some of our PLs e-mails and numbers.
I haven't added any of them yet, but i will!
Then there was John, i think, The Pokemaster, or so he wrote on masking tape and pasted on his shirt. He said my name was like a pokemon's name. lol. First time i heard someone say something like that. The PLs had masking tape all over themselves as well. Farhan had quite a few. They also pasted nametags with all sorts of messages written on them. Haha, funny guys.
Alright, alright, fast forward. i realize im dragging on and on and on . . . . so yea.
We did some pretty cool cheers, we insulted other teams with cheers, and we had lots of fun.
^_^ Then came dinner, and the food was good, for a change. Yay for TP and they're quick responses to surveys. We'd to fill up survey forms in the engineering lab, and most of us wrote under 'suggestions' or something like that ' Better food! '
And better food we got.
Then came the jam and hop. The highlight of the day. I was supposed to go to that VS concert i bought tickets to, but in the end, i decided to give it a pass. I mean, jam and hop. I was curious. Everyone seemed so enthusiastic about it, and it sounded fun. So yea. And it was actually. The mc was this really lame guy, but they played music most of the time, so it was okay.
The original plan was to go there, and have as much fun dancing like an idiot with Amal. But that was earlier in the day when she was being civil to me. Goodness knows what i did to anger her, but she was pissed with me for the rest of the day. It was the same yesterday as well. I had absolutely no idea why she was so angry, and she would never tell. No. But she'll give you this cold shoulder attitude, and won't look at your face, or if she does, she'll give you this look of pure and utter loathsome, and that implied she was way more superior than you are.
I dont know what her problem was, or why she was so irked. But we all have our good and bad days right? So she prolly just had one. . .
You know i'm dying to just vent everything out right? But nooooo, i can't, i won't. Nola, the thing is, i don't wanna make such a big deal out of it. Whatever her reasons were, no mater how pesky it all was . . . no fights. I don't want any fights. So . . . i'll do the most annoying thing i've learnt to do, which is to point the finger of blame at myself, and shuttup, and be nice anyway. So yea. Sigh. I hate that stupid practice of mine.
Well, in the end, i'd fun anyway. Though it was really paise you know, trying to dance in my tudung and all. I felt very guilty, and awkward, and a whole lot of uncomfortable feelings. But somehow, i managed to enjoy the music and the company of Nurul, Shira and her friend . . . Goodness! I've forgotten her name! And it's only been a few hours! But her name was had to remember, even earlier on! Haiyaaaaa, i feel so guilty one. You know, it seems to me, as though that's the only feeling i've been experiencing. Haiz, can't help it.
When it all ended, we went up to all the PLs we could find and said bye. It has been a fantastic three days at TP, and it wouldn't have been half as wonderful without our PLs. Too bad Benjamin wasn't there, he went home earlier on. But Hakim was, and YJ, June, Farhan, and everybody else. And we've all go they're contact nos and e-mail addresses, so we'll try to keep in touch, though i wonder if they'll remember who's who. Hakim made it clear he probably wouldn't, but he'll remember our faces.
TP RAWKS! rocked! I had a blast, touring, participating in the various activity, getting to meet all these new, fantastic people, including our PLs, especially our PLs actually. They rock my grubby socks!
TP is my first choice for Poly! I totally hope to get there next year.
