Welcome
You came to me
Head upright
Back straight
Yet the shadow silhouetting
the door
Is not the genuine article
It's a beautiful doll
with broken springs
And a porcelain face
cracked in half
But held together by slivers of clay
I see unspilled tears
threatening to make little rivulets down
blushing cheeks
And the slender fingers
that tremble so slightly
And the walk that falters
It's so painful to watch
A walking time bomb
Push the red button
It's time for your self-destruction

Whoever you are: step out in to the eveningout of your living room, where everything is so known;your house stands as the last thing before great space:Whoever you are. With your eyes, which in their fatigue can just barelyfree themselves from the worn-out thresholds, very slowly, lift a single black treeand place it against the sky, slender and alone. With this you have made the world. And it is largeand like a word that is still ripening in silence. And, just as your will grasps their meaning, they in turn will let go, delicately, of your eyes . . . -Entrance, The Book of images by Rainer Maria Rilke A quick favourite, while i was reading his poems. I'm still not done yet. But somehow, reading something that i know has been printed on paper on the computer, doesn't feel quite right. And poetry,
i've always
preferred to read from books. In fact, the only thing i don't mind reading online are
fanfictions, dream novels and the like. anything that has been published in a book, should be read from it.
I'd love to discuss the poem with you, but i think
i'd prefer to keep my thoughts to myself. what you think of it, however,
i'd like to hear. . . =)
